Description:

The Library is located in the heart of Lake Placid village on the shore of Mirror Lake. The breathtaking views from the windows overlooking the lake provide an excellent venue for reading and reflection. One of the oldest continuously operated libraries, the Lake Placid Library opened in July of 1886.
The Library is also home to the Guy Brewster Hughes Art Gallery, a public space devoted to works of Adirondack artists. The unique location, on Mirror Lake, will bring the visitor close to nature, the primary influence and inspiration for the artist/artisan on hand who is demonstrating, and selling his work.
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10:00a.m. - 5:30p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.
Saturday: 10:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
Sunday: Closed
